Ingredients
- White, Brown, Red, Black or White Rice 1.5 cup
- Water – 3 cup
- Green peas – 1 cup
- Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
- Chopped Onion – 41641 whole onion
- Oil (sunflower, olive or peanut) – 1 tablespoon
- Salt – to taste
- Wash the rice and remove the water
- Heat a medium sized pan on medium heat and add the oil
- Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds.
- Once cumin seeds are brown add the chopped onion ad stir fry until soft (do not let the onions turn brown)
- Add the peas and rice. Reduce heat and stir
- Add the water, salt and mix well
- Transfer to the rice cooker and set rice to cook
